So it seems that camping passes are already sold out for folk fest. Is anyone by chance selling theirs?

Hey there.
This really isn't about the Winnipeg Folk Festival but I figured that people in here would have the information I seek.

I'll be in Winnipeg for about a week over the Christmas holidays and am hoping to get out to an open stage or two in the area. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Here's the info on the  tour

“Good Fair  World” is a culmination of 30 years of song writing and music composition. On a  recent interview on CKUA Radio Jan explained why he was excited about this release- “I’ve had a great time writing and developing these songs- these are some of my stories- and these tracks represent the best of them.  ” 

Jan Randall has scored over 700 television productions in North America for the likes of Discovery Channel, NFB, and CBC. Recently he completed  an episode of David Suzuki’s “Nature of Things” entitled “Gone Sideways”.  Recognition includes AMPIA’s prestigious “Best Music Award” for the NFB documentary "Lost Over Burma" which was narrated by Christopher Plummer.

Jan has been Musical Director and Composer for a number of major world events including the 2001 World Championships in Athletics Opening and Closing Ceremonies which was broadcast live to over four billion people.

A first call piano sideman, he has also worked with internationally known legends Otis Rush, Amos Garrett, Gary US Bonds ,Spencer Davis, Sha Na Na, and Bo Diddley. As a musical director and band leader, he has also performed with megastars Mike Myers, Dame Edna, Catherine O’Hara, and Bob Newhart.

I am looking for a camping pass for the loud campground. I organized a group of five friends, and we are one pass short!

I will buy it with a 4-day festival ticket if need be. I know of a few other friends looking for camping, so I will happily pick up extra camping passes if you have them, if that's more convenient for you.

If anyone can help, please send me an email: jeremydubya@yahoo.com. I will be up late and wake early, and I will meet you anywhere within the city as fast as I can drive there!

What kind of food do you people bring to the festival?

I usually end up living off of granola bars and festival food. I am really having trouble thinking of foods that I do not have to cook or keep refridgerated.

So far, I have thought of:
-trail mix
-apple sauce
-fruit in general
-granola bars
-beef jerky

I appreciate any suggestions. :) And Happy Folk Fest!

This is me trying anything I possibly can to get a camping pass. The one I had being held for me that I was going to pick up today was ~magically sold~ and blah blah blah.

If you have one and you've somehow stayed away from the internets long enough not to have sold it yet, I really want/need it.

» Just a reminder...
I just wanted to make sure that everyone (especially newcomers) know that you MUST have purchased a 4 day Festival pass if you plan to use a camping pass. You need BOTH wristbands (4 day festival and camping) to camp. If you are caught without one of those, you WILL be escorted from the campground along with your stuff by Park Police.
There are no 'guests' allowed in the festival camping area and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. (2 under 18's per adult)
Not a threat, just info.

Ok, so this is a last ditch effort for a camping pass. I didn't know I was going to be in town for the duration of folk fest till yesterday. Now I know that I will be, so I'd like to add camping to my festival pass. I'm not one of those silly assholes you don't want at folk fest. I'm a regular attendee, just didn't buy a camping pass because I work out of town and assumed it wouldn't be worth it. Now I realize it would have been. So if anyone knows someone selling a pass, send a text or call 880.4158. I'm going to Vancouver for work (I work on trains), and I'll be home Thursday morning.

I have a 4 day pass for folk fest. People keep backing out, so even if someone comments before you, you may still have a chance. It may even be who can pick it up the soonest. Currently going for $192, so $160 OBO.
